What format and size should I make my images for my website?

It is important that images uploaded to your website fit the following criteria:

• File Type: JPEG or PNG*
• Resolution: 72dpi*
• Colour Mode: RGB*
• Optimum Dimensions: The website will generally downsize images on-the-fly. It is important that the images are large enough in the first place as scaling up results in a blurry image.
  • Recommended: 800 pixels tall or wide
  • Minimum: 400 pixels tall or wide
  • Maximum Filesize: 3.5mb
• Colour Profiles: If uploading a photograph with embedded colour profiles, some browsers will recognise this and display a better image so it's best to include colour profiles.
